Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year. We are looking forward to a magnificent year of learning! 
Our top priority is to ensure the safety of our little ones.  We will be implementing a new policy this year regarding the drop off and pick up routines of our students. 

Morning Routines

ALL  parents will enter the parking lot via Mary Street entrance. We will be utilizing 2 choices for safe arrival in the morning.

1. If you would like to walk your child up to the building, please park in a parking space and walk your child up to the building using the crosswalk closest to the front of the building. We will have staff available to assist with crossing you and your child.
2. If you plan to drop your child off at school, please pull up to the drop-off lane, located along the sidewalk surrounding the edge of the parking lot,  and pull all the way forward past the cones before the student exits the vehicle. If using the drop off lane, please have your child on the passenger side of the vehicle. We will have staff available to assist with helping your child exit the vehicle. Parents will remain in their vehicles. 

ALL parents will then exit the parking lot on the Milner St exit.

After School Routines

We will be utilizing 2 locations for the after school routines.

1. (Drive-by Pick Up) If you plan to pick your child up, but plan to wait in the car, you will be entering the gravel road off of Milner Street (north of the playground).  Cars will use this lane and pull off to the right hand side to wait for their children to arrive. Staff will bring the students out and help them enter the vehicles. You may then exit onto Keota Street.
2. (Teacher Release) If you plan to pick your child up after school, your teachers will dismiss your child from a designated location outside the school. You may pick your child up at that location. Parking will be available in the parking lot and can be entered by using the Mary Street entrance and exiting onto Milner St. The parking lot will be used for parking vehicles only.  You are welcome to park at other locations that may have easier access to the designated location of your child.

​​​​​​​We do ask that parents NOT pull up in front of Douma, on Mary Street, and have their children run out to the vehicle. Please come up to the building to pick up your child in the designated location.

If your plan for 3:15 p.m. Monday-Thursday or 1 p.m. Friday dismissal changes, please call the office with the changes.  We will make sure the teacher is aware of the changes.
